My husband and I stayed there a whole week. We liked that it was in the city center but unfortunately it was noisy day and night.
Very clean.

Hotel staff was excellent. Lewis helped with bags and train travel. Bharath assisted with getting me a phone charger and Pawel was great waiter. Can not wait to visit hotel again!

We would stay here again because of the reasonable price for the area, other hotels in the area are much higher, because it is an easy walk up to the Royal Mile, across the street from the train station, two blocks from the bus station, two blocks from the airport tram. A very good location.
The trade off is that it is an older hotel. A flight of stairs to the front desk, but you can get help with your luggage. One small elevator, at least there is an elevator. Good food in the restaurant. There was construction going on next door, and they started at 5:45am.
The shower would go from warm to hot real fast and over and over, and stepping out of the shower was a challenge, the bottom of the tub was several inches higher than the floor.
But, like we said, we would stay here again because of the price and location.

The Old Waverly was conveniently located, nicely updated and well priced. Colin from Front Desk went above and beyond to help us with our luggage back to the train!

An old building, beautifully maintained with lots of original features. Wooden floors (carpeted) outside bedrooms creak a lot & can be disturbing at night. Good breakfast. Staff are friendly & professional, No phones in rooms. Bar "mixer" prices somewhat excessive. Location is excellent with great access to buses and trams. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!!!!
