Classic Colonial style Bed and Breakfast. Friendly staff and charming owner. Conveniently located next to an excellent restaurant Pour On Tap.

This is a charming, historic inn, and we loved our 2 night stay here. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The innkeeper and staff are very kind and attentive. The location is perfect for exploring Ebensburg and the surrounding area. This is not the place for travelers looking for new or upscale. If you're looking for a small town, historic inn experience, though, this is a gem. We really hope to return!

This is a delightful bed & breakfast. The building is over 100 years old, so don't expect a flashy modern ambiance. Do expect to be immersed in local history. It is clean, quiet, and safe, and the owner bends over backward to make the guest feel comfortable. Compared to the costs of even mediocre hotels, its tariff can be considered a bargain. There is no elevation, of course.

This inn is such a perfect spot for a weekend trip. The staff is so kind and they serve breakfast every morning. The inside is so cute, has an amazing personality. Although it is older it still has AC and a very nice shower. 10/10, definitely would come back

High Rating is Misleading
Posted 19 Aug 2024 on HotelsI had to change my dates for this trip, when I arrived the owner (who is hard of hearing) informed me that I had cancelled my whole stay. I tried to show him my reservation but he was not having it. In the end I was offered my room, but it was a little bit of a struggle in communication.
I was in a double room, it was small but worked for me. The bed was uncomfortable and I am not sure the last time the pillows have been replaced. Since it is an old house you can hear EVERYTHING. The rooms are in the front of the building so you can hear the cars/trucks all night long. The building was set to 80 and the window AC unit, while new, could not cool the room down and was also loud.
The wifi (passcode is gold1234) does not reach into the rooms, so I was not able to work at all while at the hotel. Even sitting in the weird nook that is right above the router didn't help. This is also right outside of the owners room.
Breakfast isn't served until 8:30am so if you need to be out before that you will not be offered anything. I saw in other reviews that people were offered to go muffins, but that was not the case for me.
I chose this place for the reviews it had, but it didn't work for me. My room also had minor storage in it, the areas that the owner lives in are cluttered, with papers. It just wasn't what I was expecting for all the great reviews it does have.

Your request was for a double bed, for Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17. You cancelled your reservation. We charged you a one night cancellation fee. You arrived close to closing time on Saturday evening. We used your cancellation fee for Saturday night and charged you one more night for Sunday, August 18. We did not charge you a cancellation fee and two more nights that you stayed.We will check the pillows to see if they need replaced. What you described as a “weird nook” is our Second Floor Parlour. No one else has ever had a problem using our Wi-Fi from the Second Floor Parlour. A photo of our Second Floor Parlour can be seen on Ebensburg PA.com under Lodging. We explained to you that our cook serves breakfast at 8:30, and that coffee and fruit are on the table by 8:15. You told me you had to be at work one hour from here at 8:30.
