Eastern Nebraska Hotels with Hot Tubs

"Went to talk to the manager about getting a refund for my hotel stay since it was booked for the pool. Then the manager told me it was taken care of, yet I didn’t get my refund! I booked the room with the premise of it having a pool but it gets closed due to the city’s health department! That is clearly grounds for a refund! "

"We had a room that was large which was going to be great for our family get together. When we got into it was warm. So I cranked down the ac. Went to the pool and came back and it wasn't any cooler. So called the front desk and they sent up a service tech. He couldnt fix it. And we had to move rooms. Which was smaller. Just unfortunate but they were friendly and very accommodating. "

"Phone cord kept falling out and front desk answered but could not hear you and hung up. All bulbs but one at vanity were unscrewed. Had to stand on a drawer to tighten bulbs to get light. Wouldnt staff have noted that? Sink drain broken. Bed clean. Keep your shoes on. "

"The room was absolutely filthy. Every surface was covered in unidentifiable substances, hair and crumb tumbleweeds in every corner. Splatters of liquids and (lets just call them "greasy") handprints everywhere. A solid "yuck"."

"Pretty clean hotel in the heart of downtown. You're close to pretty good restaurants within walking distance, old town is right there for you to take a stroll through. Rooms are pretty clean, fairly modern, and the multi-story parking underneath is great if you're traveling through or are visiting the city for work."

"This is my 5th stay at this location over the last 5 months and I was surprised with the disinterest staff had in my problems and the lack of resolution to any problems I had. I was there for 6 days without having room service stop by to empty trash, refill toilet paper, fresh towels. I was there with my family which includes 2 teenage girls so the trash filled quick and the towels needed a refresh. After the first day of no service, I assumed something happened because it wasn't normal. After the second day I had to get more toilet paper (1 roll) and asked for the room to be cleaned the following day. When that didnt happen I had to ask a second time for toilet paper (because they didnt clean it) and asked again for the room to be cleaned the next day because trash was starting to collect. When it didnt happen the second time, I had to get fresh towels and was assured again that room service would come. On the last night of my stay, after trying 3 times to get the room cleaned, I was told the general manager would be available for me to speak to the following moring. Handed me his business card. So the following morning when I stopped by the front desk, I was told he wasn't in yet. When I stopped by the front desk to check out a few hours later I was told he wouldn't be coming in. The whole experience I was met with a lack of concern from all front desk staff. This experience has me questioning my future stays with DoubleTree."
