WE locked ourselves out one night and had to call Heidi to come and let us in. She was there in no time and very kind. We really appreciated her attitude.
Great place to stay and lovely breakfast. We will definitely stay there again.
Thanks again Heidi.

Fantastic Getaway
Posted 19 Feb 2018
Cons: We found out by accident that a 12-hour notice was required to use the outdoor hot tub and sauna...it would have been nice to know that at check-in.
Location: We saw Burke Mtn, visited Cabot Creamery, Ben & Jerry's, King Arthur Flour, Vermont Country Store and, of course, Lake Willoughby!
With a weekend destination of Lake Willoughby, my boyfriend and I looked for a bed and breakfast and found beautiful Willowburke Inn. A fantastic renovation job of an antique cape and crude barn into a stunningly beautiful - and new favorite - place to stay when we visit Lake Willoughby and Burke Mountain in the future! The staff was gracious and welcoming and very helpful in recommendations. Our room was warm, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom accommodating and we loved the extra touches of the roses in a vase and delicious lemon squares on the table waiting for us! Our first night was spent in front of the gas fireplace in the entry room, hanging out with another couple on the sofa, talking. laughing and watching the snow falling outside. Totally relaxing and felt like home! We will be back and will spread the word on this lovely getaway home-away-from-home.

Great staff, great location!
Posted 5 Jan 2018We had 2 rooms and we all enjoyed our stay.
The manager was so nice and helpful. Breakfasts were great.
Only tips- would add more hangers in wardrobe and would add wall hooks and boot trays for guests to be able to hang all their snow gear and put their wet boots.

Wonderful time as always

Pros: Rooms are very spacious. Grounds are well manicured. Fire pit patio by the stream is such a relaxing area. Breakfast is plentiful.
Cons: Wi-Fi. I know in VT Wi-Fi can be spotty but just mere feet from the router the signal was low.
Location: Short walk into town. Surrounded by bike trails and only minutes from the top of Darling Hill.
Third time back and cant wait to return. Alivia and her staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable through out your entire stay. We were finally able to enjoy the Nordic Spa for the first time Saturday night and it was fantastic, wished it was open the following night as well. Was great after a long day of Hiking & Biking. Cant wait for them to finish the other side of the river to enjoy the spas more. Only complaint is that the walls can be thin, when all is quite. For the second time we were awaken in the middle of the night by noise. First time we stayed a couple was having an argument at the wee hours of the morning and this time a crying baby for a good portion of the night. This is not the staff's fault but maybe a quite hour signposted somewhere to help diminish the noise.( IK not much can be done about the crying baby, but with the amount of money spent, it did really s**k to not enjoy my last night of sleep after a great vaca)

Perfect Stay!
Posted 10 Oct 2017 on HotelsFantastic in all regards. The babbling brook behind the property, which you can hear and see from your room or take in from your balcony while sitting outside was sensational! Wonderful innkeeper also--very kind. Very comfortable room and bed. The breakfast is great, as it is high quality, and you can take it back to your room and eat if you want or eat at one of several tables in the dining room. I am not a fan of one communal table, eating with strangers, so this was perfect! Flawless stay!

Satisfactory for an overnight stay.
Posted 8 Oct 2016 on HotelsThe décor lacks warmth. The water was not as hot as we would have liked. The breakfast was not very impressive. In my view it was overpriced.
