Basic and clean..perfect for early morning trains
Posted 31 Jul 2024 on HotelsThe Ibis is friendly, clean, and quiet. The room is a very basic setup but works if you are just staying overnight as a train transit. Its locality to the central stations is perfect for those early starts.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is well placed literally within the main Hbf buildings in Dusseldorf. The immediate area outside has a lot of visible poverty.
The hotel inside is modern, clean and easy to get around from reception. My room was one floor below ground; however this looked out onto a nice courtyard.
Breakfast was very good. Information, however, was not so great as I had to ask about breakfast location and times. Also there was zero information in the room for the hotel or wifi (I don't think there was a wifi). The privided shower gel/soap dispensers were hard to use with the plastic-end coming off. I resorted to using my own gel/shampoo which I always bring!
