I stayed here for the Great North Run in September. The staff are dedicated, to the point of opening breakfast from 5am on the day of the Run for runners! Exemplary and very easy to walk to the centre of Durham.

Great stay, great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location excellent only a 10 min walk into the centre. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order so fresh and hot. Room was large, clean and bed comfortable.

Bank holiday stay

Lovely stay short walk from Durham city centre. Spacious room with city view. All staff have been very friendly and welcoming. Nice cooled breakfast option. The Indian restaurant on site was very tasty and great dining option. However, it is quite small so you are best booking a table. Hotel is dog friendly which was great for us.

This place is full of character and very well-appointed. In a quiet location without through-traffic, but 15 minutes' walk from the city centre, also close to bus routes, and convenient for driving out to other places. Breakfasts are very good and you can book an evening meal.

Beautiful hotel located a short walk from Durham city centre. Clean and spacious room. Fantastic Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. Bed was so comfortable! Staff were very efficient, nothing was a problem, very friendly.
