We enjoyed having the kitchenette in the room and the ease of walking to Downtown Durango from the property. The bed was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff were friendly. It's a little loud being located right on a busy road, but the road was not busy at night.

First of all, we got there late after being on the road all day and it took us about 30 minutes to be able to get into the room as instructions were not clear and the emergency line did not answer. We had to get our own supplies out of the closet outside. Inside, the renovated part was nice but the pullout couch mattress was nothing but springs. When we pulled out said mattress, there was garbage on it. The floor was dirty, our feet were black after walking on it. Dust probably blew in from under the front door, which had a huge gap wide open to the outside. We had to shove a towel under to keep the draft from coming in. There was no table to eat dinner on and no lamps on any of the night stands. No towel racks or toilet paper holder in the bathroom where needed. Body wash was out in the shower container. The cupboards were pretty bare in the kitchen, and we had to go get our own supplies, including utensils and paper towels. Also, the oven dial would not turn off and stayed on most the day. Super frustrating and if I can get hold of the owner I will definitely be asking for a refund

Thank you for your feedback. Sounds like this specific unit needs some maitnance attention, it is valuable feedback like this that allows us to constantly improve. I will be looking into these reported issues. While we provided all services advertised and instructed you how to contact staff should you need anything. You only utilized the texting service once, when trying to get the room access information, and you were responded to there within minutes, as is our standard practice. If you are ever in the area again, i always encourage guests to give us another chance, but please understand this is not a standard motel, we are more liken to an Airbnb or VRBO, so standard practices are different, and our prices reflect the lack of more common things like a 24 hour front desk. So please feel free to stay with us agian anytime but first visit ourwebsite before you book in order to better set your expectations to the services we provide.

We did not stay. Our room was around the back; we walked through an alley with discarded tires through weeds, trash, and rocks, not even a sidewalk to reach our room. It smelled heavily of chemicals. Being migraine prone, we couldn't be in the room longer than 10 minutes. Expedia gave no indication we'd be on the second floor. All the pictures make it look as if it's on a large property. It's an old motel, right off the highway. The grass area had dog poop all over. The check-in was really easy. Our questions were answered quickly through text. But I would spring for a little extra and stay at a more comfortable place next time.

Thanks for your feedback. The room you booked is listed as “2nd floor,” it is the only room we have back there, while there are tires (left by a former guests), and the landscape is not very appealing, (natural mountain landscape) the room has been remodeled and we do our best to make sure each room is cleaned with intimate care, I apologize it left a “clean smell” behind. Yes we are a small boutique roadside motel, our prices reflect that, there’s no need to review the property so unfairly. We did our best to respond you when you could not locate the room and was responsive through your stay. - would not host this guests again. Very disappointed.

My room was renovated and was nice, other than the gravel brought in on my shoes. Management needs to blow off the walkway and parking areas to keep this from happening. Kinda wierd on how to check in. My stay was good. Not anything within walking distance. I would stay there again
