The property is beautiful and well maintained. The food is great. A little difficult to find, but worth the effort.

Beautiful location and kind and helpful staff! We arrived tired and hungry and the restaurant had closed, but they brought us a fabulous meal and wine!

Run down hotel - ignore the high ranking

Posted 2 Apr 2018
Pros: It has a great potential in terms of the house and the outside setting.
Cons: Needs a renovation. Ranking should be lowered to 2 stars. Breakfast does not fit the ranking or the price.
We were very impressed by the photos and the high rating of this hotel but we were very disappointed. The hotel is priced as a 4 star hotel, but the accommodation is at most at a 2 star level. It took a while to find the hotel at night with a total lack of proper signs. Parking is at an unpaved lower level and luggage needs to be carried quite far and at steep stairs. Rooms are unpleasant and need an urgent upgrade, with minimal outdated low quality furniture, no place to sit and a tube screen TV. No WiFi in rooms despite what was written. You need to unplug the (single!) bed lamp to charge your phone. One of the 3 rooms we reserved was supposed to be "premium" but we could not tell which one it was. Rooms were also over heated. The outside part of the hotel is an opposite to the rooms, great setup in the middle of a vineyard. Breakfast was continental and minimal, the worst we had during our 8 days in south Italy.

Lovely unique place. Nice grounds and friendly staff. Very good food. Shower a little small, but understandable in renovations. A little hard to fine but worth it!

Awesome in an old-world way!

Gorgeous setting--beautiful old manor hotel in the middle of Italian grape fields--what could be better? Fantastic experience. Only 12 guest rooms--old but mostly updated, porches, super high ceilings with original wood and doors. New bathroom. Grounds are awesome amid the grapesvines and Italian countryside. Restaurant served an amazing chef's choice meal. Pipi the resident dog greeted us with a bow, each time we came home. The perfect romantic event space--there were two weddings when we were there...
