The guest house is very modern, comfortable and clean. Marcia took very good care of us, greeting us with a caprihina cocktail and some tasty Croatian style stuffed peppers, Yum!

Dubrovnik is such a gorgeous old town, everyone must visit. Guesthouse Oliva: The property name on the gateway is Villa bella Luigi, my cell phone had run out of international usage, please make sure you take the phone number with you. I arrived mid afternoon and it took me 1 half hours, knocking on neighboring doors to finally find a lady that knew it as Guesthouse Oliva. (remember different name on door entrance to property) The neighbour kindly came with me and we found a key in one of the apartment doors. There is no one in attendance at the Guesthouse, so keep your cell charged and inform them of your time of arrival I did meet the owner/carer the following day which was nice. As for a troubled entrance, they decided I did not have to pay the 70 euro exit/cleaning fee, which which was a kind gesture. Room was very clean and good facilities for my stay. Guesthouse Oliva, is up steep hill back of the old town, good location but remember if you carry heavy luggage lots of stairs.

Hi! For all our guest we sent each time Whats up instruction video how to reach us despite that is really easy to locate us. we sent you video and tryed to reach you on phone but guest was unavailable and there wasnt a way we know that is looking for us all around as the guest didnt informed us about arrival time and wasn't available on phone or interent. We have guesthouse and we don't have 24 hour reception so it is advisable to inform us about time of arrival just to be sure someone will be at the proprety. Thank you for your comment and it was nice having you with us. Best regards, Kristina

5-days In Dubrovnik as a family

Posted 5 Jul 2019 on Hotels
We had travelled to Dubrovnik with our son, and spent 5 days in Guesthouse Olivia. It was perfect for us with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen and living area (they also have smaller rooms for one or two travellers, in the Guesthouse). Just outside the Old Town area, it was a 10 minute walk, down the stairs to Old Town, the Wall and where all the tour busses and boats depart for tours. So very convenient. Sinisa and Kristina were amazing hosts, very friendly and there when we needed but not 'in our space'. In the evenings we would enjoy a drink (and cocktail if you wanted!) from the lovely garden, overlooking Old Town and the Fort. As other reviewers noted - There are indeed a lot of stairs up to the Apartment (just over 100) but honestly, that is Dubrovnik - if you don't like stairs, you will find Dubrovnik a hard city to navigate and you won't see much! Sinisa was a gem and carried our bags up and down when we arrived/departed! So no fuss for us. All-in-all, we loved it for a more homey stay in Dubrovnik!

Simply Amazing Stay!!

Posted 26 May 2019 on Hotels
I can't recommend Guesthouse Oliva enough! Recently remodeled, everything in the room is up to date, very spacious, and beds are very comfortable. This is a great space for families, wonderful kitchen space, and two bathrooms are a plus when traveling with several people! All amenities are provided by owners, and if there is anything that you find yourself needing, they are happy to help! Also has washing machine, which was greatly appreciated. Close walk to Old Town, and beautiful views from the seating area. The owners definitely aim to please, and cooked us amazing omelets for breakfast, and offered friendly conversation. The on site cat was fun to have around, while I missed my own cat while being on vacation! Guesthouse Oliva is simply amazing, and I encourage anyone to stay here while traveling to Old Town, Dubrovnik!
