The Dean Dublin is the next great Jordan Peele film where a group of generally thirty something millennials are welcomed to perfectly curated rooms with vinyls, record players, and vintage furniture, only to be terrorized by a DJ from their 20’s they can no longer see but very much hear.
This is a fantastic place to stay with a 50/50 chance of not sleeping completely dependent on if you face the neighbouring nightclub. This really is the nightclub nightmare neighbour as they don’t stop playing music until roughly 3:00-3:30 EVERY night. They ended at 2:54am for us - just to be merciful.
Staff thought we would be fine facing the nightclub as we did push back to be moved and we were told, give it a go and we’ll see if you hate it later. Spoiler: we did.
Now our friends who stayed on the other side had a completely restful sleep and awoke ready for the day. Us on the other hand, emerged like what I imagine the club next doors floors feel like: worn out.

Thank you for your detailed feedback Adam, and I’m truly sorry to hear about the noise disturbance you experienced during your stay. We do our best to ensure that all our guests enjoy a restful experience, and I sincerely apologize that this was not the case for you.We understand that noise can be disruptive, especially when you're hoping for a peaceful night's sleep. As mentioned during your check-in, we do had quieter rooms available in our Townhouse building, and I regret that the room facing the nightclub didn’t meet your expectations. We will certainly take your feedback into consideration to better communicate this option in the future.I hope, despite the noise issues, you still found aspects of your stay enjoyable. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and if you ever decide to return, we’d be happy to assist in ensuring a quieter room for you.

Was a very nice place to stay. Do be aware of the nightclub right beside it. Best to make sure your room is not beside it

The overnight noise from adjoining bar/club was unbearable. The Dean offered useless ear plugs. Completely unacceptable. Do not stay here. You will regret it regret it.

I loved the decor of the entire hotel - absolutely stunning. All the staff were accommodating. The hotel is in a prime location in Dublin. Despite being on the same street as many of the night clubs, the guesthouse part of the hotel was extremely quiet! Would definitely stay again.

If you want to get any sleep, do not book the Dean. It’s a red flag when the clerk says it gets noisy and there are earplugs (which don’t work well) on the bedside table.
The shower has a quarter wall and the bathroom floor basically has to be wiped down after every shower or there surely would have been a slip and fall accident.
This was not an inexpensive hotel. Nice part of town but not many other redeeming qualities.

Thanks for the review Maribeth - we appreciate it. We genuinely do our best to educate guests about potential noise issues on Harcourt street via our website and again on arrival. We would always strongly urge guests to consider the location or at least let us know if they need a quieter room. We appreciate that our brand and hotel is not for everyone but please do let us know if you ever have plans to return for a quieter room at the best terms. All the best,
