We booked the hotel as it was close to surrounding amenities, Shopping, parks, bars. However, we did book a Queen & Double room, it was our honeymoon and we ended up staying in separate beds as the beds were smaller than what we booked but I was told it was the last room. The room view was of the hotel's recycling centre which was very noisy and disappointing, I woke up on the Saturday night at 4am to staff emptying glass into containers and then again at 6am to staff having chats outside the window. This happened a few times and was very disappointing, we kept the curtains closed for the entirety of our stay. The only thing I will say is that the staff at Breakfast, Dinner and Bar were very helpful and attentive. Swimming pool changing room was unhygienic and needs a clean and update, especially if hotel guests are expected to use the facilities. For a four star hotel and the price we paid I was a little disappointed, we'd had a long week after our wedding and I didn't feel like raising the issue at the checkout desk at the time, but now wish I did.

The hotel was very busy with families/CHILDREN that could be unruly & loud in the lobby and at breakfast. Irish bank holiday & school vacation week. I therefore did not go near the pool as I had intended. Our room was nice but we overlooked the loading dock & experienced much noise early ~530am-730 every day. A definite drawback. We were not told at check in that the exit gate code changes every day.

Loved the Mattress. Very comfortable. Reception, Breakfast and Bar Staff all very helpful. Breakfast was hectic due to weddings over the weekend of our stay, so not very restful on my special birthday treat. Would advise contacting the hotel regarding what functions are on before booking. Otherwise a lovely Hotel outside Dublin.

The Castleknock hotel was a great place to stay when visiting Ireland for the first time. Friendly staff, great dining options, and a very comfortable room.

The luxury king suite was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The property is beautiful and the staff were all happy and helpful. It is not a walkable property, but it's an easy drive into Dublin. I would definitely stay here again.

The property and what they offer is great. The dinning was very disappointing. Friendly atmosphere is not really there. Spa was disappointing. .... Those things can be worked on. I will go back again, everything deserve a second chance. Access to transportation, close enough to Dublin Center and far enough from crowed.
