The staff were wonderfully accommodating and very helpful. Wonderful shower pressure! Small European rooms for those from North America. Breakfast was well worth adding. I had read about the noise, so was a little apprehensive; however, it was not crazy for a downtown hotel. Yes, you could hear the train and the people but the location and the ease of moving around the city and getting to the bus, train, airport made it worthwhile. This area was very convenient to get to and move around Dublin.

The showers are amazing! The location is great for a jump off point. But noisy. As there is the bus, train and police/garda station right there. The beds are serviceable for a night or two.

The hotel is very noisy and creaks and cracks at all hours of the day and night. It was a cheap option and close to transit. Staff were difficult when I asked for a new key card, it kept deactivating each day. Walked to my room each day just to be locked out. Close to everything but just spend a little more and go elsewhere

Not what we expected as we had stayed here the previous year. Homeless people congregated across the road from the hotel from midnight to 5am. Shouting fighting singing running metal pipes along railings. Did not get a nights sleep and checked out early to move to another hotel. The Garda office was right next door yet the hotel really made no effort to have this stopped. Was offered ear plugs. Really. The worst is they know they have a problem.

I understand the property has character, however I do think double glazing in the room I was allocated could have cut down the noise from the street.

We asked to move after the first night due to noise, we were moved and our room was upgraded quickly and efficiently, thank you to Robert for all of his help sorting out our new room! After this we slept well and had a very enjoyable stay.

The building is old and lack of maintenance. The floor is made of wood so when you are sleeping you ca hear all people in the higher floors walking and moving things. The response from the hotel to inquiries made via message, is very poor. They never responded to my parking question even though I explained we were arriving after 1 am so needed help and guidance.

Good hotel and the food delicious but the parking is a real problem. The carpark for the hotel is too far from the hotel to drag your bags and trying to get your car nearer to offload your luggage is impossible. Its very confusing. For this reason I wouldn't recommend it.

I went with a group. We did not know the area and this hotel is located in a bad part of town. During the night screaming, loud fighting took place, screaming, police sirens. I will say that we walked everywhere and coming back to hotel at 10pm...nobody ever bothered us. Convenient to bus, tram and train.

We were suppose to stay for two night at the property. To get to the hotel entrance we had to drive our car through an extremely shady alleyway with rough-looking people screaming around. It was a bedlam there. It was comparable to what you would see in the 80’s crime movies. Filth, piss, people living in the tents. The best part was that it all was happening around police precinct. For the first time in Ireland I felt really unsafe. I instructed my wife to lock herself in the car while I was going to check us in. The hotel lobby was nice. The staff were friendly. I got our keys and went back right away before something could happen to our car or my wife. We gathered everything from our rental car and went to our room with our luggages. The room… was dirty. Not filthy. But not clean at all. We quickly found old hair behind mattress (no bed bugs were in sight). There were dead bugs in the lamp on the ceiling. The interior was run-down. Definitely not like what you see on hotel pictures. But the finishing part was the window that was facing that alleyway with homeless people and railways. Each time train were passing you could feel walls vibrating. To top it up with the noise of the screaming people outside and tv sound from the room next to us. We went to the lobby to request a different room only to be told that they were full, and nothing could be done. We stayed one night in our room, then the following day checked out one day earlier so we could escape that nightmare.
