Nice and clean place. We had yummy snacks at Moxie’s for happy hour. Pool and hot tub were very enjoyable!!

The front desk staff was always happy to help with any question I had, and were very knowledgeable on a variety of topics. The whole stay was great. The only thing i would comment on was that the pool was too cold, and the hot tub jets didn't work, but it was nice a hot, and very clean. Over all a good time was had.

For a 3-star hotel, the rooms are top quality. Very impressed. Clean and modern. The hallways and elevator are a solid 3-star though. 2 high quality restaurants right in the same building. Street has potential to be noisy being so close to the hockey arena and Olympic stadium. Guessing it could be a party hotel sometimes and so check if there are any events going on nearby before you book.

The Sandman so improved our stay and experience in Vancouver. The staff was welcoming and informative. The location was perfect. On the easy walkable edges of downtown, Yaletown, Gastown and Chinatown. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within a few blocks. And the Shark bar and Moxies inside the hotel both had good and reasonably priced food. The Fanny Bay Oyster bar is around the corner! The gym was very good and the pool and hot tub were great. You cannot go wrong in the medium priced hotel. And the shower, see for yourself!

Building was under construction.
Room view was like a penitentiary.
No housekeeping.
Not enough room lighting.
Overpriced/under serviced.
I will never book this hotel again!

Our stay at Sandman was fine. We were happy with our spacious room…HOWEVER, the black mold on the ceiling of the shower was concerning and our room was only attended to upon request.
