Was very surprised this is a 4 star hotel. Other than the convenient location to the stadiums, it is very subpar. Additionally, the service was poor and staff was rude/not at all helpful.

We took our daughter to Pittsburgh to a play at the Byham Theater for her 16th birthday. We stayed at the Renaissance because it was right next door. We enjoyed the old charm of the hotel and the convenience of its location.

Wonderful stay!!! Great service provided by front desk and a special shout out to Dennis in engineering. Are air wasn’t working so we called the front desk and they sent Dennis up. He quickly found the issue and resolved it quickly and efficiently. Thanks again for a great time in the burg!!!

It was well located for the purpose of our stay in that it is within walking distance to theaters and Heinz History Center. Plus we had a fine view of the river from our room!
