The place was clean and well kept, located in a convenient area. I don't want to be too harsh about my review since I think what happened was purely bad luck, but our room flooded after using the shower. The staff was quick to send help and try to solve the issue, however if we had stayed another night I can see this being a big issue for us. Again, this must have been a plumbing problem and I don't blame anybody for what happened. Regardless of this, the place was pretty good for what it's worth, specially if you are simply looking for a place to crash at night after spending all day exploring the town.

Love the Stevenson and accessibility to nearby Trader Joe’s and finding options. I continue to stay as a former local and appreciate the convenience and kindness of the staff. Gas station next door makes it easy to grab a snack, or easily walk to dining, Trader Joe’s, Pete’s coffee and shopping. Really close drive to the beach! Walkable if you’re into active lifestyle.

Good location, but surrounded on three sides by busy streets. Bus stop immediately next to hotel on one side, and buses running on the other sides. Just too loud.

Thanks for your review. Please understand we have double-paned windows and only a 12 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and within blocks are 50+ restaurants and the Golden State Theatre. Just 4 blocks from Monterey Beach and Dennis the Menace Park

Good location for discovering downtown Monterey. The hotel is fine, low priced, but could be a really cool mid-century mod hotel.
