Do not stay here!
Property is completely different from what is advertised.
Run down and dirty.
Staff is trying to run this place on what’sapp, they take forever to respond and blame everything on the building manager.
They are renting out rooms in a residential building, that clearly has an issue with them doing so. Trying to get in is a disaster. I with I could upload the text it says (don’t ring the doorbell must show text to guard and tell him a password) what a joke.
Do not waste you time. There are plenty of actual hotels around for the same price.
Do not be fooled by the pictures!

It is a pity that you made this comment when you had not even stayed with us, you made this decision on your own.
Pepe's House Guayaquil has been operating for more than 3 years, you cannot say or assume something you do not know.
We are a MICRO HOTEL - SELF CHECK IN, that is what the platform through which you have booked says, we do not understand that it is not clear to you.
Many people like the security of our system, nobody who is not authorized goes up to the hotel, nobody who does not have a password goes up. From the moment you received the instructions, you knew, if you didn't like this, why didn't you say so?
The design of the place is a matter of taste, you took the cheapest room, unfortunately you could not expect a suite or blame us for a personal decision.
You lied in the messages you sent us and you also lie in this review, you were able to download, no one was rude to you, the instructions were clear, our cleaning is meticulous, our staff is very friendly and quick to answer the phone. , our photos are clear and real (nobody complained about that).
We hope you have better experiences according to your tastes, requirements and budget.

Great location, OK hotel. Wouldn’t stay again
Posted 2 Oct 2021 on HotelsThe hotel was in a great location near the pier; however there were weird noises in the room (sounded similar to mice but not sure what it was) and a weird odor coming from the bathroom.

We do not expect 100% of our guests to like Pepe's House Guayaquil. What we can assure you is that we work to take care of the details (clean and hygienic spaces, excellent Wi-Fi, a good breakfast, good views, an unbeatable location, free coffee and tea, filtered water, an innovative design of rooms and common spaces, etc. .), give a good service and help travelers with a lot of information.

We acted in good faith but you preferred to threaten us with a bad review (based simply on your assumptions without any proof) and reject the room change. NOT good enough
Posted 31 Aug 2021 on HotelsVery small....the only thing I can’t stand is dirty or non maintained bathrooms. They should really renovate the bathroom. It’s a very old place that has been covered in cheap paint. The elevator seems more like a death trap the a elevator for a hotel. Paga un poco más y quédate en cualquiera otro hotel.

Marco, It is not common to find this type of coments about us, especially since we have not found a reason to explain the inconvenience you have had during your stay with us.
It is indeed an old apartment but we have put all our love and strength to make it comfortable and beautiful for those who visit us, every day we clean and disinfect our rooms and social areas, we think we have done well because this is the first negative comment we have.
Our style is definitly very different from what you are used to and we regret that you had a bad time, but we also regret that at the time you did not report this situation to make a room change or something else so you can get a better room with a much bigger bathroom but with a different price.
Regarding the elevator, it's a matter of taste, it's a good elevator for the building and it works very well.

Awesome place
Posted 11 Jun 2021 on HotelsPepe's house is a gem of a guesthouse. The location is just wonderful, right next to the Malecon near the ferris wheel. Contact and customer service by WhatsApp is just super and much appreciated during a pandemic. The room is big, clean and comfortable. I loved it there and just booked another night for a return trip.

Great for a night...
Posted 2 Jun 2021 on HotelsConvenient location, walking distance to the main road along the river. It’s a hostel, so the walls are thin and you can hear everything outside. The bathroom is really old, looks dirty but it’s not. Very affordable so worth it for a night. Heads up: beds are full-sized mattress, not queen. Staff is nice and accommodating, we checked in a few hours early and they also provide luggage storage.

Regarding the size of the beds, we ask you on future occasions to be precise in your comments so as not to harm or give erroneous information to travelers: The room you chose is the only one that has a double bed for two people which, by the way, it is the most economical. We suggest you read carefully the size of the beds, the services included, etc., so that you do not end up confused and misinformed. 3. Considering the value for money, our guests are very satisfied except you. We offer travelers breakfast, overnight parking, an impeccable and clean place (thanks for mentioning it), triple filtered water, free coffee and tea all day, trained and friendly staff (thanks for mentioning it), among others. 4. If you had read our description on the OTA you reviewed, you would have noticed that we mentioned that we are in a 1970 building, that the property was completely redesigned and partially renovated for use as short stay accommodation. 5. The pandemic halted the final renewal process, but despite everything we have provided a quality service, which is evident in all evaluations except yours.
