although there was no generator, and there is a rolling power outage, the inconvenience was minimized by the area we stayed in

We have stayed at Las Penas several times as it's our home whenever we pass through Guayaquil. It's walking distance to the Malecón and Aero Via and has several restaurants nearby.

This hotel is in downtown Guayaquil. We stay here whenever we are in Guayaquil and are happy with the hotel. It's clean, adequate to our needs and unpretentious. We have tried other hotels in Guayaquil but Las Penas is our favorite.
