We had a wonderful stay in this characterful cottage located in a Dorset village within easy driving distance of the coastal attractions. If you're looking for an authentic and quintessentially English experience from your trip to Dorset, host Louise will provide this and more.
We received a warm welcome on arrival, and once we had been shown to the allocated parking, we were treated to a beautifully served traditional afternoon tea. Almost everything Louise serves is home made, cakes, jams, sauces, cereals. The breakfast is unlike anything you will get in a hotel, with everything being freshly prepared and served fresh, with a mind blowing array of home made jams and cereals to accompany. Even the brown sauce and ketchup were home made. All of it was utterly delicious. You will not need to eat until dinner time after having breakfast here!
The cottage is a listed building, and you should bear in mind that you are staying in a very old English building, and should relish the experience. Having said that, our bathroom was up to date and tastefully modernised, with everything working as it should, and a great selection of complimentary toiletries, as well as tea and coffee making facilities for the room.
All in all, a wonderful and highly recommended B&B experience.
