New management has made many upgrades to the property. This was the first time I visited, so I didn't miss the old quirks; I found the place delightful. The Snug is a lovely lounge with wood-burning fire that was great for a cold night. I'm sure the outside tables would be lovely in warm weather. The location right next to the footbridge is charming.
I stayed in room 2; the bathroom was a bit small and awkward, but I understand they have to work with the structure that's there.

Nice recently refurbished property and very helpful staff. Might be a small minus for some visitors, no area with lounge chairs to take advantage of the magnificent views.

Food in the evening was excellent and the service was spot on. Nice breakfast the next morning too. Staff were very friendly and really looked after us. We will be back.
