The guest house is set back from Rt. 1, and has the feeling of being somewhat isolated, but upon arrival there were many people onsite as the proprietors also run a campground for tenters and campervans. The campers have their own facilities so they did not mingle with guest house occupants. The outside of the guest house is quite unspectacular but the facilities inside were really nice. The room was spacious and clean. The dining room area was also quite spacious and the use of the kitchen and refrigerator was appreciated. The rest room facilities get high marks. Negatives? None. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and quiet sitting. Very friendly hosts and easy access to the southeast region of Iceland. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Told the people that pay to take there shoes off! weird

Dear Ron,In Iceland it is common to take off your shoes when entering someones house or guesthouse. Each country has different rules and regulations and when visiting it, it is worth adapting to the rules prevailing there. Iceland is a country where the weather is very changeable, so guests taking off their shoes helps keep the common space clean and makes the stay more pleasant for all guests.Best Regards,

Nice quiet area with several walking options.
Room was OK.
Well equipped kitchen.
The polish girl at the reception was very helpful.
Shared shower may be occupied for a long time when needed.
