This is the most run down hotel, I have ever seen. If you want to see it you will be amazed that they can even rent rooms like this.

Exterior looks abandoned. Unlit sign. Easy to miss at night. Interior clean but dated. 1990's. Desk staff friendly and helpful.

No lighted sign to tell you where it was. At night I missed it three times. It had a bed and a TV. WiFi did not work. There are better places.

Beds were ok, bathroom needs updating

Stayed here while family was in town, occupying our home. Check-in went smoothly without issue. Beds we're adequate, but bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked, as there were a few hairs around the sink, and a stain in the sink that I was able to remove myself with soap and water. The fixtures in the bathroom we're getting old as well. Since we were there only to sleep, I can say that it was a pleasant stay, nothing too spectacular, but also nothing outstanding. Good, quiet, relatively comfortable stay. For the amount spent, I feel it was a good stay.

Tired.

Went to check in, they did not have my reservation, but since they were not busy, accomidated us. No housekeeping 3 of 4 days of our stay. Sink was clogged, toilet needed work...this used to be a nice hotel. Now, it's a tired place that needs a lot of updates...and a few more staff members.

So disappointing

The owner, Bob, was very nice. He welcomed us to the hotel and bar. My grilled cheese was good. The problem is this place needs an overhaul! The tubs looked like they threw acid on it toilets were mildewed. It didn’t feel stable to stand in it. Cleanliness is not a priority.

Not so hot.

Checked in early, no problems, room smelled of perfume, the bed cover was not too desirable. Paid for room, returned in evening, couldn't take the smell or the condition of the bed, so I packed up and left.

The room was disgusting and smelled of cigarette smoke. Upon further inspection, someone dumped cigarette ashes in the air conditioner unit. The bed was stained with bodily fluids. Do not waste your time and money going to this hotel.

Visiting Dixon

Hotel needs some work. Parking lot is in poor condition. Rooms are spacious. Had a non-smoking room but could smell smoke upon entering. Chose to open the windows to air it out rather than move. There was dust on the lamps and some of the furniture. Hotel is overpriced for the quality. Not much lodging in the Dixon area but will not stay at the Magnuson in the future. Great community to visit. Everything else about the trip was enjoyable.

Nothing but filth and disgust from the moment we walked into the interior from parking area. You name it, gross, dirty, broken, filthy.
