"The hotel is conveniently located near the railway station, and the staff was kind. The bed was comfortable, but the building is in serious disrepair: curtains hanging off the rails, broken ceiling panels, peeling paint, loose bathroom tiles, and heavily worn carpets in the hallways. It feels like no maintenance has been done in years, which really overshadows the positives. "

"I thought this perfectly adequate, more than that if I’m honest. Okay, it’s not in the city centre but it’s easy to navigate to from either Perrache or Part Dieu. There’s an Italian restaurant a minute’ walk with other options a 5 minute walk including Columbus for coffee. There’s also a Picard close by as well as many VeloV stations if you wanted to take a bike. Cyclists do seem to be respected and feels less dangerous than in the U.K.. "Pleasant stay within walking distance of train station. Receptionist kindly stored our luggage upon request in the morning which we collected during check-in that afternoon."

"Bikube Lyon is great! Very very clean and modern, eco-friendly (normal sized refillable liquid soap and shampoo bottles instead of the tiny individual ones, towel service every other day), a block away from the Metro station, a short drive from the Gare Lyon Part-Dieu, and you can walk to Lyon city centre if you want (2.5 km away). The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Laundry and fitness facilities were easy to use. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful monastery restored! Lovely breakfast included, great bar and restaurant, and lovely to eat and sip in the courtyard. I wasn’t aware when I booked it that it was at the top of the hill… hard to determine on a two-dimensional map! But what a treat to discover it! Easy 5 min walk to the Roman amphitheater, and another 5 min to the Basilica and the funicular to take you down to the old, lively city center. It was very hot while we were there and the A/C (like many European hotels) was not very powerful. But overall a wonderful experience. "

"The room was very spacious and had excellent air conditioning. The shower was appropriate sized (vs those tiny tube sized showers in most of Europe). We did not hear others around us and slept well. We took advantage of the valet parking and truly appreciated that. We were able to easily walk and venture into Lyon from the location and felt very safe in our surroundings. The pillows were incredibly flat so I recommend asking for more. Easy fix"
