Hi Alex My sincere apologies about your comment on the bedroom I apologise that you didn’t feel it would be appropriate to report a situation that you were uncomfortable with rather than report it to duty management in which we would have allocated you another bedroomImmediately. Rest assured I don’t want it to put you off a future stay if you return, housekeepers have double checked all bedrooms for any problems like this and have found no issues. I am not disagreeing with your comment have taken on board your comments and investigated throughout but have found no problems.Best Regards,Cromarty View Management

We had two double rooms booked and as the fact that the property do not accept children was not very visible, we have missed it. The very moment we entered the property, before any greeting, we have been informed that we cannot stay there with the 2 years old we had with us. We asked for permission to use a toilet (as we still had the booking which was already paid for, but they said we couldn't). Could have chosen to use at least one of the two rooms, but due to the attitude of the people at Cromarty View we chose not to, Can't say anything about the property which - on the outside - looks good, but I would strongly recommend anyone to avoid having anything to do with the people in charge (both the reception people and an individual who recommended himself as the owner). Very bad experience and not saying that just because of the money which we have paid for nothing.

Good Morning Madam Cristina, Thank you for your fabricated review for the guest house Cromarty View, and thank you for taking the time to compile a review which we feel is untrue and not factual, therefor we utilise this time to respond accordingly so that both sides of the story can be seen by others when reading through reviews! First of all allow me to say, that sometimes in a batch of eggs, you sometimes find a bad one, and to that extent this is the case for yourself as a person. You booked two bedrooms at the property, namely a double room ( a double bed en-suite ) & a Twin Room ( twin beds i.e. 2 single beds side by side ) You did not read our policies on two parts prior to making your reservations: 1). Our private property does not accept children , children defined under scots law are those under the age of 16 years. our own reasons are that for insurance purposes (we are not insured) therefor we do not host. 2). On the day of arrival, should the terms and conditions of a reservation change or should anyone break the property rules then we are legally entitled to charge for these situations, things such as smoking in bedrooms, blocked toilets and so on- you broke the property rules by attemping to "sneak" in a minor without the management noticing and as such not paying for the extra person depsite the rules being clear prior to booking the property - this is you own fault for not reading correctly - had you mentioned there was a child when booking, the computer system would not have allowed to process a reservation and continue to book because it is designed like that. You were welcomed in a positive and polite manner when you arrived, only that when the younger lady within your group came from the car with the child, this was highlighted at the same time of your arrival. Please do not fabricate and say that you were made to feel awful, unweclome and so on - this again is not the case because we attempted to find you alternative accommodation as a "goodwill gesture" at the hotel located in Muir Of Ord, again it was you that was not happy because of the hotels correct price charging the correct amount of adults and children required for the reservation. We uphold rules for multiple reasons and we certainly do not allow person (s) to break fire regulations by sneaking in extra person (s), nor do we break rules or liability when it comes to insurance policies. I feel very sorry for you to publish a fake review & as such would not welcome your business in the future at all. As anyone else can clearly see, most of our other reviews are actually quite good & speak for themselves! my advice to you madam - READ what you book prior to booking to avoid confusion or misunderstanding on your part, and take heed about being a bad egg! its not very nice to be nasty to a small business when really there is no need to be a keyboard warrior behind a screen as such! From the welcome at the front door on arrival, everything about my stay made me feel right at home. The property is 5-10 mins from the centre, so nice and quiet. The room had everything you could possibly need including hot chocolate! Very clean, warm and welcoming, i highly recommend it.
