Standard Ibis

Typical Ibis .... staff functional, but often seemed undermanned (1 person on reception AND bar at the same time). Bar area often untidy, lots of used cups, glasses etc. We paid extra for a river view, alarm bells when told to push -1 in the lift. Room was looking out on the river, plus a 15 foot wide concrete pavement completely open to the public. I'd suggest requesting a room on a higher floor and NO way should the price of these ground floor rooms be the same as other river view rooms. Breakfast was buffet style and satisfactory. Free WiFi. Room was very quiet.

I came expecting a mid tier, budget conscious room that was renovated about 5 years ago. But it was a bit more run down than expected. Not super clean.

Adequate hotel

Hotel is located approx 10 min walk from main centre. Hotel is adequate but the air conditioning doesn’t work properly so room was far too hot to sleep comfortably. Also only 2 towels supplied.

We understand the importance of a comfortable room temperature, especially during rest, and we regret to hear that the air conditioning did not function to your satisfaction. Our air conditioning systems are indeed turned off when temperatures fall below 20 degrees, but we do provide the option to open windows for fresh air, as well as offering extra fans upon request to ensure our guests' comfort. Regarding the towels, while our standard is to provide one towel per person, we are always happy to supply additional towels upon request at the reception. We recognize that the quality of service is paramount, and we are concerned to hear that you felt this was not up to the standard during your visit. The hotel is quite basic. Mostly clean however the bin in our room hadn’t been emptied and had other peoples rubbish in it, which wasn’t great. It’s a easy 10 minute walk into the town, and has a nice terrace overlooking the river.

Never choose ibis!

A terrible hotel! No kettle in room! 1€ for a pot of hot drinking water! We expected a nice river view, but was put in the -1 level. Dare not open the window! Will never choose ibis! Will never stay at this hotel!

good location

Room comfortable but although we requested a quiet room and we checked in early, we were allocated a room next to a major service area where noisy disposal of rubbish took place. We have enjoyed a snack and beers on the terrace many times but this was not available during our 2 day stay - a great pity as we enjoy the pression beers at Ibis. The breakfast here is good with many choices but all choices were not available on the second day of our stay. We were surprised as this was a Saturday and probably a more popular day for guests. Staff were friendly and our stay apart from the above concerns was good.
