Information on site needs updating.
Posted 23 Mar 2022 on HotelsNot as descibed on hotels.com. There is no restaurant and therefore no breakfast. There is no terrace. Photos must be really old. First room assigned smelled of smoking and to their credit they did swop our room. All a bit dated but it was cheap so you get what you pay for.

Spotlessly clean, extremely helpful staff. Good location close to restaurants and coffee shops.

No hot water for shower, the shower head was broken and sprayed over half the bathroom, one window wouldn't close all the way, the staff made it clear that guests were unwelcome. I think there was supposed to be breakfast included but I wanted no part of it. .I went to a little bakery on the main street instead.
On the plus side the location is good and the room was spacious and clean.

Very convenient -- nice walking path to the river, easy to get to A1 Hill, museum and really great restaurant 100 yards away.

Reasonable hotel
Posted 31 Jul 2019 on HotelsThe hotel is one of the larger budget ones with a good central location. Very little English is spoken so be prepared to signal what you need.
We attempted to get the breakfast but after waiting around the empty lobby/front desk for 5 mins gave up and went and bought our own elsewhere.
The rooms are massive, the hotel feels a little dated and there is definitely smoking in the lobby and hallways. Overall this isn’t an amazing hotel but it’s still ahead of much of its budget competition in this area.

The location is perfect to walk to all the sites important to the Siege of Dien Bien Phu.
The restaurant and balconies on each floor overlook the river and you will see the planes which fly in two times a day. It’s easy to imagine the planes which supplied the French with aid during the battle using the same airfield in 1954.
The market and a street of restaurants are within two minutes walk.
A comfortable stay.
