Bad service/accused of stealing/made to wait long
Posted 11 May 2022 on HotelsThey keep chargeable-if-you-use items inside the room which I have not seen anywhere else in the world. There are bottles of water, beverages kept in the refrigerator in the room, packets of potato chips : all which they said will be payable if used. It was a strange thing to notice. They should not keep it in the room unless it has been ordered or asked for. So when I went to check-out, they made me wait till one of the managers went to the room and checked if any of the items have been used or not. Then again they said they are missing one of the cloth towels in the bathroom. So we had to go back and check again and see if it was fallen anywhere, but couldn't find it anywhere. Finally we told they can check our bags if they want if they suspect we were stealing it. Then after some arguments, the manager told he will handle it. It was extremely impolite and were accusing us of stealing.

Good Hotel.....with a catch
Posted 13 Jun 2018Hotel is good, located at stones throw away from Munnar city centre. However, the hotel comes across as one that has not been renovated for atleast 15 years. Rooms lack white light, adequate charging points, room heating options. Getting adequate hot water even in stipulated time was an issue. The furniture in the room has a feel of antiquity to it.
All in all ....3 stars.

Pros: the location - as other shops and restaurants were within reach. If one is away from the town of Munnar - often one feels secluded and cut off.
Cons: the upkeep and maintenance needs looking into. the restaurant used to be better a few years back - now very few people appear to be walking in.
Location: at the centre of the town - so one has access to all kinds of shops selling spices, tea, chocolates and also other restaurants and eateries
A beautiful courtyard in front with colourful flower beds, the restaurant which we have frequented earlier is average, cleanliness is good. The rooms are small and cramped, but clean. The mini fridge was adequately loaded. The housekeeping staff were very cordial and helped us with the extra beds as soon as we reached the room. Had a pleasant sleep at night with the cool weather - the room appeared to be dusty as the kids started sneezing and having stuffy nose in the morning when they woke up.
Rates are too high for the average facilities they are providing. And the place appears to be falling apart - though it had a good name in the past. Good maintenance and upkeep of the rooms is highly essential if they have to keep it running - many of my friends suggested against taking rooms here. So reputation is already low and they appear to be struggling.

Bad experience
Posted 28 Dec 2017Hotel has deducted charge of rs 7164.00 two times from my card.when I said return my rd 7164.00 they said it does not come in my account.i have shown them my bank statement .they are silent....Never go that hotel...

Posted 21 Nov 2017 on HotelsRoom choices advertised on the website stated deluxe TWIN rooms. The only twin rooms are standard, no views. There was no bar in the hotel as advertised. It’s been closed for ‘ several months’ due to local laws. Staff were very friendly and helpful
