Overpriced and oversold

Posted 11 Mar 2018
The hotel is falsely advertised, the view outside was of a wall, the bed was stiff, limited hot water, there was no mini bar as advertised, the curtains didn’t little to block out the light, little toilet paper, the aircon droned on humming the whole time, the walls are thin so you can hear other peoples conversations, showers, phones ringing and people walking up and down stairs. The garden part of the hotel was only for three cottages, the rest concrete. Very expensive compared to other places around, at least twice the price. Upon commenting to the manager he was very unhelpful and unresponsive to our suggestions.

Cons: Staff behaviour
The are not too bad but they have to be trained as a hotel staff. Its looks like they are not trained as a hotel staff. When they process the credit card payment they asked me to give him the pin number so he can enter it himself. This is totally a security breach and not acceptable at all. When I refuse to give him to pin number he is not happy at all.

Due to construction lot of disturbance

Posted 3 May 2014
There is Construction work going on in Hotel, 1st they gave one room where bathroom lights were not working, then they changed other room, there is no LIFT installed currently,Construction work is in full swing in Hotel, because of that they make lot of noise, I called 7am they started breaking the wall, i called reception 3 times but no luck, finally I vacated the hotel because of this disturbance. I don't understand one thing until full construction work is over why the hell they are renting out rooms. Do not recommend this hotel.

Pros: everything
Cons: no. of rooms
Location: tea musium, shopping in munnar town, elephant ride, maduputty dam , ecco point etc.
we visited munnar from 09 to 11 oct 2013 and stayed at elysium garden. due to some new construction for extention . our room was upgraded from executive to deluxe . hotel staff is very coooperative and humble. room service and room cleanliness was excellent. i highly recommend this hotel to every one visiting munnar. i , myself , will definitely be stayying here , if i come to munnar again.

Can you expect clean sheets in a hotel of this category in India?I thought I could, but was disappointed. The rest of the hotel was also not well maintained.
