"We enjoyed our stay very much. Front staff was very friendly and helpful; check in was smooth and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. One suggestion: put some sort of air conditioner upstairs. The upstairs area was unbearably hot when we got there and didn’t cool off until the middle of the night, despite both fans and all windows open. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which have a great view of the lake. Definitely recommend the property!"

"Awesome location very close to dining, shops and even closer to the beach. The rooms are a bit tired and, yes, the other reviewers comments about those beds, are true. They are definitely not what you will find at your usual Hilton or Quest Hotel. The curtains are a tad sad and the rooms are decorated the same way they were when I last stayed ten years ago. But...it's clean, safe, brilliantly located, the complex is well maintained and that Cycad in the middle is HUGE. For the price, this is...

"Situated in the best location, this comfortable, roomy apartment provided the easiest and quickest access to the beach and shops. We had a downstairs apartment with our own private outside lounge space and exit to the street. "

"Large but slightly dated home was clean and comfortable. For the price, I was not impressed with the peeling ceiling in the bathroom or that some of the dishes were not completely clean, but the rest of the home was nice with a lovely patio and was across from the pool. The grounds had beautiful landscaping and the pool was nice. Close to restaurants and shopping with pak n save close for dining in options. "

"Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price"

"Our family loved Prince’s Gate which was very well located to shops, restaurants and parks. The included breakfast was very good and the hotel offers dinner, happy hour and tea, as well. The apartment was comfortable with two bedrooms and a well-stocked kitchen. We were right on the road so it was a bit noisy but we always sleep with white noise. The hotel offered their own thermal pool as well as a sauna. The main hotel is historic. I would definitely stay here again. "
