"The Gold-apt hotel had plumbing problems and thus sent us to a other apt-hotel called "Patagonia" which was nearby. The second night at "Patagonia" we returned to the hotel about 7pm. The entrance door was locked and no one answered the doorbell. We also called the phones listed on their card, but no one answered. "Check in was great as early in the morning . Sunday breakfast good. But breakfast during the week was heavy to carbs and little protein [ so we brought in our own food ] Shower was in a in a tub [ no hot tub ] and no safety rails to hang onto to get over the edge of the tub . Some distance from downtown shopping and any restaurants . We made the trip to explore Ilo , Moquegua, Tacna and Arica . We needed help in finding tour guides and tours ,but had difficulty as the staff was not well...
