"This was our first time here, but not our first in Trollhättan. The hotel is older, but very well kept. The staff (especially the owner, Ulrika, who works there) are really terrific and helpful. Our room had older, beautiful furniture. Common areas had nice touches like fresh flowers from Ulrika's mother's garden. Breakfast was terrific! The home-baked bread was delicious, and there was a very good variety of foods to choose from. The only difficulties were that the bath/shower was difficult...

"The house is just a regular villa without any extra soundproofing so when other guests stumbled in at one o'clock superdrunk everyone hears it. The guests then locked themselves in both bathrooms and started violently puking for everyone to hear. One other guest were sleeping off the whiskey in the living room couch. "Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. Tyvärr inte så mycket information vid incheckningen och med tanke på priset för rummet kan jag tycka att inträde till poolområde och trampolinpark borde ingå i priset eller att man åtminstone fick rabatterat pris om man bor på hotellet. "Had to stand in the rain to get thru the front door so a small portico would help also where to park is not clear so we used the Burger King spaces as none were marked for hotel guests. Otherwise the room was fine and very quiet and breakfast was also quite good at Expresso house next door. Overall I like the concept but you need to be able to contact someone at all times so a contact number in room would help."

"Well in it's day I bet it was a smart hotel,it needs a bit of TLC but it was budget hotel so you don't have high expectations,but I did not expect a broken shower holder, and the shower screen was not on it's rails correctly and black mold ,it was a good bathroom apart from that and the room was ok "

"Excellent service. Very quiet and beautiful location. The staff at the restaurant were amazing. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and they made me the most delicious steak and potatoes. The cocktail I ordered was delicious too. For a small town this hotel and restaurant go above and beyond. Their food is more like a 5 star restaurant. Thank you!!!"
