"Great hotel, roomy! Air conditioner weak"

"Hotel Granvia Kyoto was one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. We stayed in a Superior Double room. The room was spacious with a king size bed. As a taller person from North America I appreciated the rain shower at the end of a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start each day. The staff are friendly and very good at their jobs. The housekeeping staff did a terrific job. I would definitely stay again if I am visiting Kyoto."

"This hotel met our expectations. The staff were friendly and happy to hold our luggage on the day we checked out. I shipped a few Amazon packages to the hotel, no issues. The room was clean and bright with a big window, and blackout curtains that worked well. We had a king bed, which can be hard to find, and one of the reasons we stayed at this hotel. It didn’t leave a lot of space in the room but we managed and it didn’t detract from our stay. The amenities were good and shampoo and conditioner quite nice. The hotel is approx 20-min walk from the main train station and close to different transit lines. There are convenience stores nearby and we liked the Donguri restaurant up the street for late night food and a few drinks. We didn’t use the public bath but pyjamas and slippers were provided. "
