"As an older female, and solo traveller, I found The Freddie Mercury Hotel to be very safe indeed. Conveniently located and easily accessibleat the end of the Montreux train station platform. There are shops, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, an Irish Pub, and local bus stop within minutes minutes from the hotel. And also a lift down to the lake area beside the main road. It's a bright, spacious, modern hotel. Bright, clean, and well equipped for the traveller. I had breakfast each morning, which...

"Wonderful hotel in the perfect location. Views from rooms with a view of the hotel are breathtaking. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance and literally across the road from Montreux train station. Would highly recommend "

"This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.The staff are outstanding. Polite, helpful with excellent English but prepared to humour my attempts at speaking French. The room was wonderful with an incredible view across the lake to the mountains. The breakfast buffet was amazing, especially the eggs Benedict cooked to order. The spa was good too. I could not recommend more"

"Good value in a great location. I had a room overlooking the lake - was quiet enough given the relatively busy street below. Nice little balcony as well. Check-in was easy. Some furnishings were a bit rough around the edges but everything was clean."
