"Location was very remote so transportation was an issue. The restaurant was almost non functional and whatever we requested was not available or out of stock. The night reception staff was terrible. We wanted to book airport transfer but this staff never communicated with us and so we had to frantically run about to arrange alternative transport. "We had an incredible stay at Rusty Bunk Villa, which comfortably accommodated our group of six. The apartment was beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and spacious with three bedrooms, making it a perfect mountain retreat for a larger group. The mountain view from the property is breathtaking, making mornings truly special. "The hotel is just out of the hussle and bustle of Kandy city - about a 15min Tuktuk ride. Perfect to see all the sights in and around Kandy and then come back and relax in peace and quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the owner arranged trips and drivers in and around the Kandy area. The food is was amazing particularly Hassida's vegetable curry! "

"The Hotel is very nice, quiet and relaxing. The staff was wonderful. We would have preferred A/C but otherwise it was very comfortable."

"De lobby was kil en sfeerloos. Overal felwitte spaarlampen. Slechte acoustiek zoals in een grot. De suite was groot en met gigantische terrassen met zicht al om. Het bed was van goede kwaliteit. "We loved our stay at Kandy Shady Trees thanks to the very welcoming and accommodating nature of our hosts. "Stayed for 3 nights here. The hotel, staff and service were great. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent; dined one night at the bar beside the pool and the fried vegetarian wraps were delicious. Pool was clean and so refreshing. Easy to walk into the city for eating options. Overall, enjoyed it here!"
