"We really enjoyed our stay at Portola. It is centrally located to the wharf and downtown, super easy to park your car and walk everywhere. It’s a little bit of a walk to the aquarium but it’s a beautiful walk along the trail if you’re up for it. We loved the promenade right outside the lobby with a cafe, wine bar, bike rental shop, etc. which were super convenient. We would definitely stay at Portola again. "

"I booked a very last minute stay about 15 minutes before I arrived at 9 PM. The check in process was quick and easy, the clerk was nice, and the room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate its convenient location near Whole Foods and the restaurants / shopping in Del Monte Center. The location was also quiet."

"The hotel is on the beach which made the stay wonderful. We could hear the ocean waves from our room. There are gas fire pits on the ocean side of the hotel that are turned on in the evening which makes it even nicer. The room was cozy. It did not have carpeting to attract the sand from our walk on the beach, but it did nice flooring. The only negative comment I have is that the room above ours had dogs and we could hear their nails on the floor as they walking around in the room. I do not...

"We had a corner room in the building on the street behind the main property. There was a large patio with amazing views of the town and the ocean. Even though it was January, we still sat outside to watch the sunset. On a chillier evening, we lit the fireplace for a cozy winter evening. "Everything was great. If i had to say one thing it would be that the shower could have used a little more water pressure. It was nice having a hot tub right out the door from our room basically and we always had it all to ourselves.
