"Everything is good, but there were two minor issues I would point out. 1.) Shower door didn't close completely. 2.) They only give one room key, which you need to plug in for lights to operate. So, there is a chance you can walk out and get locked out the door. When I pointed that out, they gave me a sperate card to plug in for the lights and so my door keys were always in my pocket. One thing I should mention more than anything, staff were super friendly and very helpful!"

"This is a very great place to stay couple of Nights to check Anuradhapura. The staff Ann is super helpful, made sure that we are well looked after and I would for sure stay there again!"

"Overall the property is good value for money. A few things to consider: rooms are rather soulless, which may not be something you care about, but this is not an insta-opportunity. The shower, sink and toilet are in a courtyard completely outside. This isn't great if you want to use the facilities at night or just in the evening, as the mosquitoes will eat you alive! Staff was friendly and breakfast was very good. "

I looked online before I booked and there was one negative review saying the hotel was being refurbished (April 2019 from memory) and I assumed it would be completed. Oh I was wrong. "Shehan, his wife and young son make Saubagya Inn an excellent choice for a stay at Anuradhapura. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom good and the a/c worked well in the hot weather when I stayed. The Guesthouse was about around 40 years ago and with a large, covered veranda makes for very relaxing ‘down time’. Shehan speaks good English and is trained and trains in hospitality.
