"Very clean. I should have brought my own pillow, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Everybody has their own preferences when it comes to pillows. Coffee in the lobby was good, but they let it run empty a couple of mornings and I had to let the front desk clerk know. Nice heated pool area for the kids."

"The host is so sweet and a great cook! Breakfast was so good and so much food, which was fantastic to fill up on before a day of skiing at Monarch Mountain. The lodge is extremely clean and is a great location, easy drive to ski or hike and just down the street a mile or so from restaurants and shopping. We will be returning anytime we go to the Buena Vista area for hiking or skiing!!! Highly recommend!"

"Usually the cheapest place in Salida and it is good value for money. My main criticism is that the room we were given has a connecting door to the adjoining one which is great if you're next to friends or family, but not good if you're next to a noisy guest because you'll hear everything going on next door!"
