"Very friendly staff and helpful manager. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Room (deluxe) very large and provided extra bed for kids. Short 10 min walk to galle fort. Room very clean and great housekeeping. Pool towels provided. Some minor maintenance issues could do with addressing around pool (tile grouting). "

"The property never got our reservation, so showed up and no one was there. This, however, didn't appear to be Amara's fault. Ana was very apologetic and tried to make the most of it. Property is nice though, but it's more suited for a full rent out than just a couple looking for a get away."

"We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. It was our first experience at Sri Lanka. The location of Villa Tara at Hikkaduwa city is optimal - in jungle forest but in ten minutes from the beach also. Property is in fine condition and professionally managed. You will be provided with a top quality guest service. "The house has a good location, easy to access the beach. The owner is super kind and helpful, we are vegan and asked for a vegan breakfast, they made every day different options and lots of fruits. So well done. The location provides a good view to the sea, and there are a lots of wild animals, also visiting the garden. It's also an experience. Overall its a good place."

"This house is virtually a step away from the sea and it feels like you have your very own small, private beach. A bit far from the town for bars and restaurants but a good small local restaurant two minutes walk away. Breakfast provided, by a woman that comes to the house and uses the kitchen. "Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel is located right on the beach, the ocean is just a step away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The restaurant is open for limited time frames but room service is available throughout the day. Loved the view from our room, to get the sea view you have to book premium sea view. Comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was courteous and helpful. The Wi-Fi was spotty especially during peak usage but the view, the sea, sun and sand make up for it. Food service maybe slow at peak times but you need to understand that food is made to order and NOT premade. Breakfast is a delicious spread of Sri Lankan and Western dishes, with a good selection of breads, fruits and juices. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel."
