"The Best Western Bandera hotel was super cute! It was designed with the "Cowboy Capital of the World" atmosphere. The staff were all very hospitable and friendly. We were treated very well. The one down side to our room was that there was no door to the bathroom, and that left it open to the entrance and anyone in the room was trapped inside the room if someone was using the bathroom or trapped outside the room if they were outside. "The property is nestled in the Medina mountains in an 11 room resort and spa. The owners met with us each night sharing stories, laughs, wine and food. In the morning we hiked up the mountain trail to a cabin with a back deck that overlooked the hillside. If you want peace, quiet, no children and good old fashion conversation you will not find any better than Escondida Resort. The entire staff is humble, courteous and good people to share a cup of coffee or a laugh. I highly recommend this...

"This facility is so much bigger than I expected. The cabin we stayed in is not new by any means and they have newer and bigger ones but for what we paid it was an exceptional deal. If you have an RV or motor home I think it would be great for a weeks stay or longer. It was cool watching the deer at sunrise and sunset. Beautiful country for motorcycle riding."
