"You can't beat the location. An easy walk to shopping, pubs and restaurants. Friendly reception much appreciated after a long drive. Room was comfortable with everything you need at hand. Showing its age now but affordable."

"The style and view at this property was amazing and relaxing, close to local shops and bathhouse. The outdoor day bed was unusable as it had not been cleaned, full of bird droppings. Toilet was not clean and place was slightly dusty. "

"First stay at this hotel and it was really nice. The rooms and hotel generally were clean, and all was in good order. Not the largest rooms but for one it was fine. They do offer off-street parking but tried twice, on check-in and then after dinner and there was no space. There is all day parking about 30-40 metres away so that wasn't the end of the world. I have one negative or criticism, and that was to do with breakfast where I met a client. We both ordered eggs, but it came with just one...

"I stayed in one of the newer renovated rooms. It was very clean and comfortable. Loved the rainfall shower. My only issue is that I wish there was sheer blinds or tinted windows as you can see right into people’s rooms when the blinds are up (majority of rooms are on ground level). "

The room & facilities were nice, especially considering the original character of the building was maintained, however the treatment we received was magnificent. We were welcomed and cared for as if we were royalty, and the food was exceptional. We had a lovely dinner in the Argus Restaurant in which the Chef prepared a very tasty & generous meal, but it was the timely attention received by the staff that made the meal...

"Hotel rooms are very nice - stylish and comfortable, so would stay there again. Pub downstairs not so much and trust the other reviews on the food - *do not* eat there. Food was overpriced and inedibly bad, layout was confusing and wall of sports betting not so nice."
