"The room was freezing, there was no phone in the room to contact reception and the night receptionist did not know a word of English. The only restaurant in the hotel, which was also the only restaurant in that area, started serving at 8:00 p.m. and served only two soups and three rustic dishes, none of which could be eaten. It didn't even have a menu to choose from, and it was immediately filled with drunken men. It was like a nightmare for a family with children."

"El personal muy agradable. Llamar hotel a este establecimiento es excesivo, es más una pensión. Las instalaciones son muy antiguas y no hay habitaciones con cama de matrimonio. No hay secador ni nevera y sólo funcionaba un enchufe. En el baño había hormigas y la bañera era de las antiguas, pequeña y casi no cabías en ella. Hasta los 34 euros de la oferta son caros"

"La Grancha is a hotel in rural La Fresneda. The owners are lovely and welcoming. They speak little English so take a phrase book. The menu is in Spanish, we got help in translating from a fellow guest. The hotel is wonderfully rustic in this beautiful village."
