"Liked privacy, quiet, clean, list of places to eat, Nigel was very helpful with our difficult overseas payment. Being from rural area it was difficult understanding security but destails were very good, just our lack of ability. I did get locked in bathroom at 3 a.m. as when I tried to get out as the lock fell out of the door handle. After trying to phone my husband as I used the phone as a torch, I ended up knocking on the adjoining wall. He finally woke up and came and opened door - it waas...

"Good location for Sheffield although the area is a bit drab. Parking was more difficult than we expected. The apartment does not have its own parking, it's street parking any mostly permit holder only with literally a few spare free spaces so it's luck if you get one. The apartment block is nicely decorated and we had room 1 which was a studio. Had every thing you needed including dishwasher & washing machine and detergents for both (neither of which we used) but no shower gel in bathroom....

"A very pleasant stay in a beautiful area. A good location for walks in the south of the peak district, particularly up to Hen's Cloud and the Roaches, Gradbach Mill and Lud's Church, and a little further away Miller's Dale & Chee Dale gorge. Nice to have a welcoming couple of slices of homemade cake and a jug of fresh milk on arrival. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mobile service (EE) is not the best from within the cottage through the solid stone walls...

"The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...

"Lovely experience. Ideally situated for the centre, quiet with lovely bars close by. Very clean, warm and spacious. There was a smell from the toilet but we accepted this may be the case on a boat and we did eventually get used to it and not notice it. Would we stay here again …. A resounding yes "

"I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Cocina Restaurant during my lovely one night stay at Casa Hotel in Chesterfield and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the warm, attentive service set the tone for an exceptional evening. The menu is a delightful blend of Mediterranean and European dishes, all beautifully prepared with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients—many from Walton Lodge farm. Every bite was perfection, from the exquisitely seasoned starters to the show-stopping main courses. The open kitchen added an extra touch of excitement, letting us witness the artistry behind each dish. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet inviting, making it perfect for a special occasion or just an indulgent treat. Cocina exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable meal. Highly recommend!"

"The location in the centre of the city is excellent, if a little difficult to drive up to due to traffic restrictions. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and understanding, providing really great service. We stayed one night and didn't experience the leisure facilities or restaurant, but our room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. "
