"It was a good stay although the room was a little small and the view was of the back of the hotel and various pipes! Unfortunately there are a lot of roadworks going on direcrly outside the entrance so that is not very convenient. The centre of Carlisle is all being worked on at the moment and for the next several months."

"Absolutely no allowance for early check-in. Common areas are lovely and cozy. Great and plentiful breakfast options. We had a long haul to our room lugging suitcases up and down many sets of stairs."

"Definitely would recommend and stay here. Only criticism was that a dog was barking for quite a while in the dining / bar area. Don’t blame the dog but the owners should have taken the dog out. Def the Inn needs to introduce a 3 bark and your out rule. "
