I spent one night at abyan guest house & it was great for a one night stay. reasonably priced, bed was comfortable, and the pool area was nice for the heat of the afternoon.

Very slow on cleaning the rooms, it was like pulling teeth just to get clean towels

You booked and paid for a room for 1 adult and breakfast, everyday you had more than one person coming all day using pool and showers and you requested minimum 3 towels for your friends every day, sorry but we eventually had to say no. We could also not clean your room because someone was always sleeping in in it

Left Early and Not Refunded, despite Broken Aircon
Posted 10 Aug 2023 on HotelsWhile I recognize that you can only expect so much from a place that only charges $20 a night, I ended up leaving 2 nights early for 2 reasons - 1) my aircon stopped working and they wouldn't call anyone till after 5pm to come fix it and 2) there was a loud vibrarion sound for most of the day and night - you could feel the vibrarion in the walls, door and balcony banister. It was loud and honestly it made my head feel kind of vibrate-y. The hotel did not refused to refund me for the last 2 nights, despite acknowledfing that yes, the aircon wasnt working and there was a loud vibration sound.
The office guy seemed to want to help but was hindered by an unavailable and reluctant hotel owner.

Thank you for your review. There was no issues with your AC unit and the vibration noise was because you had turned the refrigerator up full and pushed against the wall. The true reason for you leaving is you wanted a free upgrade to a premium deluxe room and where refused

Posted 24 Jul 2023 on HotelsNice small guest house in a quiet side street but close to lots of nice bars and restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the beach.
Staff were very nice and helpful.
Really good value for money.
