An average hotel with okay services

Fraudulent THUGS
Posted 19 Dec 2016I had recently booked a room in this hotel through Expedia. The stay was satisfactory as you would expect it from any hotel at a price of Rs. 1260/night. My itenerary from the website gave me a clear breakup of the basic price and the applicable taxes. However when I tried to check out of the hotel, I was told that the price quoted in the itenerary (incl. of room rent and taxes) was irrelevant if I paid through card. They tried to charge a whopping 24% extra on the qouted price (which was already incl. of all taxes) and upon much discussion I ended up paying a 9% extra on the quoted price. They told me that the base price and taxes given in the itenerary were irrelevant and were related to the commission charged by the booking website which is complete non sense.
Btw, let me tell you that they tried to dupe me with the same scheme exactly a week ago when I stayed at the same hotel but I was able to get through without paying any extra amount when paid via a debit card.
What I infer from their practice is that they are engaged in tax evasion so its better you pay by cash or pay the amount upfront at the time of booking from the website itself. Be careful. Thanks

A little pricy but convenient location
Posted 6 Jun 2016 on HotelsThis hotel is at well lit and well known road, which is convenient when telling your auto rickshaw driver where the place is. It's nearby to Connaught Place, a huge main circle of Delhi. The hotel itself was friendly enough. Room was clean, sheets and bathroom was clean. The bed itself was a little too soft but it was doable. No microwave though and the fridge wasn't really working. Also thought there was suppose to be a restaurant and free breakfast, but was told that there wasn't.

Quiet and comfortable

Pros: Location. It was close to New Delhi train station.
Location: Within walking distance of New Delhi train station and the main bazaar.
I had booked a twin room but was given a double room. This isn't uncommon anywhere in the world. I was told to wait 10 minutes while they arranged another room but it took nearly an hour. After a long international flight this wasn't an ideal start but the twin room we got was very clean and comfortable. We had an internal room with no windows which was a blessing in disguise as we couldn't hear the continual tooting and noise from outside.

Pros: Room and staff was great,which i liked the most.
This is great hotel ,the tariff was reasonable and the rooms were modest and clean. the staff was superb, very friendly nd helpful. The railway station was a short walk away. The hotel is decent for the value services.The rooms are very correct, we stayed here, as we passed end of our trip. All their employees will cater very politely, worrying all the time that everything is correct. It has a very nice restaurant where the requested charge which reported that meal on the menu, they bring you about 20 minutes later, during which time I was the owner of the remote control of the TV. Best value in Delhi for the money and I will definitely use this as my base on future trips.

Nice, spacious rooms with beautiful bahtrooms and rather fast room service, although communication is hard at times if you do not speak Hindi.
There is no dining hall nor any breakfast buffet (as was advertised by hotels.com by the time I booked). You get your breakfast delivered to your room from a short list of possible choices. But you have to place your order before a certain time or it will count towards your overall room service bill.
There also was no tea-making facility in the room, although the hotels.com website said so.
The neighborhood is loud and dirty and rikshaw wallas ask hilarious prices if you are non-indian, but that's what Paharganj is like overall.

Pros: good location to the New delhi station
デリーに深夜に到着するため送迎サービスもつけて宿泊。深夜の到着もあってかフロントの対応は全く愛想なし。
シャワーはお湯が出ず(フロントに言えば出る?)部屋も清潔感があまりない感じ。
駅からのアクセスはとても良いので、とにかく寝るだけ、という方にはおすすめです。
