This is a vintage hotel. We loved it! The floors are not level, there are tons of period furniture & fixtures. It was a quiet time of the year, on a Thursday & we thought we had the place all to ourselves, then 5’O clock hit. Their stunning old world bar (which was stocked to the nines) started filling up! The bartenders were amazing! The restaurant was fabulous. Beautiful place to have a “date night”. There were lots of seating vignettes, inside, outside & on a patio. All very romantic! A great gem! Brian was awesome! He was super friendly and helpful while wearing many hats of service! He was our first encounter on arrival and he helped us with everything we needed during our stay! The lady bartender was also super sweet and fun to watch while she made drinks! The hotel was like stepping back into time! We enjoyed both the beautiful bar, as well as the live outdoor music while we had dinner. Only issue we had was trying to lock the back door entrance with our key when we returned around midnight. We had to unlock the front door and manually locked the back door and then walked around to the front in order to secure both entrances for the night.

A Treasure!
Posted 28 Jul 2024 on HotelsThis hotel is a rare gem! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds (there were 3 in our room 202 2-bedroom suite) were heavenly. One hilarious drawback to my king size 4 poster was that it was so high that I literally had to climb up into it as I am rather short, lol! Since it is in an old Victorian era mansion, I expected climate control to be an issue, but it was wonderful. Despite the hot, muggy, rainy late July in Central Florida weather, the rooms were perfectly cooled via a central HVAC system complemented by very efficient ceiling fans. While the hallways were hot, the moment we entered the room, the temp was just right and the humidity was completely comfortable. Even the bathroom had a vent. I would advise taking ear plugs/white noise app or machine as the downstairs restaurant live music was really loud, and there is some traffic noise, but as I had both ear plugs and a white noise machine I was totally oblivious to it while getting a great night's sleep. In addition there is no elevator, so be prepared to climb lovely staircases, but management is on hand to help with luggage if needed. All in all, if I could duplicate this hotel in every venue I visit, I would be one happy traveler!
