A little piece of Paradise

Just like family away from home. The setting was amazing ❤️
The hospitality and the service and the atmosphere was excellent ♥️
Everyone there made us felt so welcome. I was sad to have to leave. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a little piece of Paradise with an amazing staff and management. Thank you for having us. It was a wonderful experience ❤️❤️❤️

When I got there, I had to park my car outside the gated property on a muddy road because the owner had 5 dogs.
Also, the wifi wasn't working, I couldn't close the windows all the way and there was a mosquito net over the bed.
The other thing is this property stated beach access.
The beach was a 5 minute walk down the road

Hi Mr. Brett Dempsay! I apologized for your dissatisfaction. Believe me that the comfort and satisfaction of my guests are top priority as evident in most of our reviews. It was never my intention to deprive you of our parking space. You told me that you were going out afterwards so I suggested that you could just park outside for the meantime to avoid the inconvenience of the narrow gate and put it inside later for the night. Not only there was this huge misunderstanding but your series of complaints were expleted out of your fury at my reminding you that your reservation is unrefundable. Such a condition is written clear and loud on the hotel page as the discount you could get if you get the room, meaning you have that choice before booking. When you told me that you were leaving because you found the bed foam too thin for your liking and after a mere ten minutes of having welcomed you, I was surprised. Not only you had looked contented when I showed you your room but it was the very first time a guest had complained about the mattress being flimsy. To your demand of being simply refunded because of it and the window you had a hard time openning, I reminded you politely of the non-refundable clause that we had to impose for the high season. We are only a ten-room boutique and there were just groups of bookers reserving a lot if rooms and cancelling at the last minute, leaving us income-less at the end. I would have offered to change your room or put another mattress on top, just anything to make you stay and feel comfortable but you just flew off the handle and was deaf to my words. This unpleasantness could have been avoided if you hadn't booked in a hurry a two-star hotel like mine at 3000 php per nite but instead, opt for a four - star hotel where mattresses might not be that "thin" to you. As for myself, I could have been more attentive to my guests' behavior. To know that my suggestions might be misinterpreted. To happier guests then!

Mary the owner was on the property and she was view helpful with anything I needed . The grounds where well maintained and Tom’s very clean , the only issue I had it stated on Hotels .com it was beach front but sadly to say it wasn’t, but I made the best out of it because the place was quiet and that’s what I was looking for as well . Stood there 2 days then went to another place that was beach front .

Dear guest, Thank you so much for your stay and your appreciation of our quiet cozy place. But sorry that there is no longer access to the right in front due to the lot in front being privatized five years ago. But one could still see the sea and hear the waves and have access to the beach with just a five - minute pleasant nature walk on the right. We would have wanted to change hotel s name to be clear on this but it is too complicated so we could only make a revised description of our place in the hotel page which you must have missed. Still, we were happy that you still appreciate some things in our place and enjoyed your two-night stay. Thanks again.

very tastefully furnished and landscaped beautifully. A very peaceful and relaxing place, only a five minute walk from one beach and a ten minute walk from another beach

Upon checking we were given the worst room with no view, no TV, no wifi and the safe did not work. The bathroom was pretty much disfunctional and the free breakfasts were minimal at best, had to pay extra for a cup of real coffee instead of a packet of nescafe. Only redeeming feature was the friendly and accommodating staff.

Quiet and off the beaten track
Posted 15 Feb 2018A lovely quiet hotel with amazing staff just minutes away from a quiet beach and Spanish tapas restaurant. Slightly far away from all the action but still a few tourists around who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. it’s wortth getting a moped Definitely! What a beautiful island

Relaxing stay close to Alona Beach

Pros: Service, proximity to beaches. The owners!!
Location: Many beaches in the area. Shops and restaurants
This cozy, quiet, place is run by an amazingly, lovely, couple. The grounds are immaculate and the pool was perfect. This isn't a resort to hang out at all day. My girlfriend and I used La Parnela as a jumping point to be out and about. The food here is excellent, especially the eggplant for breakfast. The place does have some dogs who are well trained. So if you do not like dogs, you may want to go elsewhere. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable, clean, quiet, place to relax between excursions.

A peaceful haven with a nice chatty owner
Posted 15 Apr 2017 on HotelsWe weren't blessed by the weather during our stay but our host tried her best to make us feel at home.
The hotel was quiet and unfortunately the food service limited because of this. sometimes we thought we were invading the owners personal space asking for drinks or snacks.
The swimming pool is clean as well as the rooms which are in good condition. The air conditioning isn't new and noisy, maybe worth a replacement soon.
Helpful with tour services and suggestions. The beachfront is around 5 minutes walk away down a dirt road.
There are a lot of dogs in and around the property that are quite noisy throughout the day and night, this may bother some but wasn't too much of an issue for us.
This little resort that has a nice potential.
