The George is one of the best places I have stayed in.
From start to finish (7 night work stay) the staff, facilities, food were well above what I had expected.
I would be looking to stay here again if I am required back in the area.

This property was very central for my visits in the area, quiet area. smelled a bit musty, not totally surprising for a property by the river...not very sound proof, but again not unexpected as its an old building.
It has the Grandfather clock, from the song "my grandfathers clock"

Nice spacious room. Facilities good. No dining facilities on Sunday evening.
