If this was once a 4-star hotel, it needs revisited because it isn't any longer. Maintenance is needed everywhere. Most times there was no air conditioning in the main areas of the hotel, just in the room. Every time I entered my room, the lights flicked off and on for at least 10 minutes. Also, it isn't safe as I learned, from mistakenly trying to open the wrong room, that my key opened someone else's door. This is highly unsafe and as a woman traveling alone, this is a big red flag.

The meal plan was exceptional. The chef accommodated our vegan option request with fabulous adaptations of traditional Italian cuisine. The spa under the hotel, fed by the mineral waters, was comfortable and convenient. The staff was so kind and helpful. We’ll be back next year.

Very quiet and clean. Small rooms, but well equipped. Great breakfast! We moved there from a nearby 3-star property in hopes of using the pool and hot tub at the Rizzi, per their listing of facilities. Surprised and disappointed to get the run-around from various staff members, and ultimately, a demand for 20 euros EACH to use those facilities. We did not pay the extra fee, but moved on. Wish the hotel and Expedia could be more clear about what is and isn't included in the rate. Don't advertise a hot tub/pool if you are going to charge extra to use it!

Terrible-simply avoid
Posted 17 Feb 2016 on HotelsThis is misrepresentation of what I booked for. Now I understand why the ratings were much lower than anticipated. I chose this hotel on the basis that it looked more luxurious than the other alternatives for a stopover night.
1. The hotel is dated with worn with stained carpets, broken shades and signs of damp too.
2. We had a drainage smell in our bathroom- unbearable. Because of the nasty smell I did not have a shower either!
3. You have to pay an additional fee per person to enter the jacuzzi even though you are staying at the hotel. Children are not allowed.
4. We came in February. The quilts given were suitable for a breezy summer evening, not winter.
5. The Wifi service, although free, exasperates you and you end up not using it ultimately. Their passwords and user codes are too laborious.
6. Breakfast was standard but service was very poor. Some of the bread and cakes were also dry.
7. I complained to the hotel who charged me the full amount and do not accept liability. They blamed me for booking a classic room. They said that they cannot put pictures of each room on their website.
My top tip: steer away; don't book it as you will be disappointed.
Our best experience at this hotel: the departure from the premises.

Excellent hotel with amazing mineral water
Posted 24 Aug 2015
Pros: The drinkable mineral water from the faucets, the sweet staff, and the comfortable bed.
Cons: faster elevators, spa specials for guests, hot eggs for breakfast
Location: Walking distance (for active hikers) to surrounding towns, the train/bus station, parco di luine, and lago di moro. never had to use a taxi.
Arrived early 8am, and our room wasn't ready, which was fine because I didn't ask for an early check-in. The front desk spoke English and directed us to a lovely hike to Lago di Moro where along the way had awesome views of the surrounding towns. Check-in is at 3pm, but by the time we came back from our hike at 1pm, we received a complimentary upgrade and we were able to rest up and check-in. After a short nap, the front desk suggested we visit the park, and we hiked to the Parco di Luine where there were incredible petroglyphs to respect and search for. What an amazing time! We returned to amazing mineral water flowing from the faucets and had an incredible, shower, bath which left our skins silky soft. The mineral water was drinkable and delicious and felt amazing to drink. They provided free glass bottled water as well , still and sparkling straight from the town's source. It was an awesome experience with a very comfortable king size bed (2 twins together) in our upgraded room with cold blasting air conditioner (it was 40*C outside). wonderful staff that also watched our stuff as we went hiking when we couldn't get an early check in. A+

Lovely staff, room like an oven
Posted 21 Feb 2014Lovely staff but room a constant 25 degrees and nothing you can do about it. Windows and doors open and still boiling. Pool is only a spa pool, can't just swim in it and those with kids note they have to be 12 or older. Doesn't say this on the site but my poor 5 year old found out the hard way. Ok overall but just ok.

Rizzi Aquacharme - Solid hotel
Posted 16 Jun 2011 on HotelsThe Rizzi was a nice hotel in a great neighborhood. The rooms and beds were a little small but about what you'd expect in Europe. 1 accesible power outlet without unplugging tv/sat. Everything was clean and well maintained. A nice spot to stay for work or holiday.
