"The Serena Hotel Dar es Salaam is a great facility with very friendly and hospitable staff. The only recommendation I would offer is that they consider updating their mattresses. Mine was clearly tired. But so was I, so I was able to sleep nonetheless. "

"Disappointed that a service apartment didn’t have drinking water. The gas stove was disconnected so we couldn’t cook. The place is falling apart, not clean. The sofa set in the living room looks dirty and has wet spots and dark marks. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying on this property. "

"We are repeat customers and we’ve always had a great experience here! Excellent customer service, beautiful facilities, and great food on-site with incredible scenery. Watching the sunrise through a sea view window is worth a visit by itself! The only critique I’d have is that the hot water doesn’t get very hot in the shower/bath, but you do have a kettle available if need be. Besides that, this is a hotel I’d recommend for a true luxury experience!"

"This is the best place to stay in Dar if you are traveling alone as a solo female traveler.The place is convenient and clean.Near the airport and the Zanzibar ferry terminal.They are very intentional on security I felt so safe sleeping at this place as a young woman traveling alone.They also safely kept my bags when I went to Zanzibar until I came back.The staff are very polite and helpful.The place is really quite and yet it is in the middle of town .It gives you the ultimate rest environment.I...
