Wouldn’t Stay Again - Bad Area , Bad AC , Bad Food

Posted 7 Jul 2019 on Hotels
It’s a relatively new hotel. The rooms are quite modern. However the air conditioning is controlled centrally. This was annoying as the AC was stuck at 26 degrees for the whole floor. It was like being inside a moggy lizard tank. Also the hotel is across the street from a giant power plant with two huge smoke stacks. It’s quite an ugly sight and not got for the lungs I am sure. The room service food was also very bad I ordered the steak , fish and chips and then a sandwich as all portions are small. It is really not up to the standard i would set for a western chain hotel. The food was edible at best. All in all I would not stay here again! The only positive point I would highlight they did upgrade my room to a suite after I complained about the AC. The staff were non confrontational and helpful.

Dear Guest Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to express your thoughts and concerns. We are very sorry that your room was not at the correct temperature. There is a central air conditioning system in our hotel however each room also has individual settings. It seems there was a problem with your room. Normally the room temperature in the summer is 23 to 24 degrees inside the rooms. Regarding the smoke stack cross over the street, actually it is the condensed water from a cooling tower, this is harmless gas. As we are situated at the Dalian Sports Centre it is important for us to ensure we have a healthy environment. The outside air quality in our area is very good. Thanks for your comments on food portions. Our goal is to ensure guests are satisfied and we will make adjustments based on your comments. We hope you'd give us a chance in the future to show you improvements we are making, and look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel again. Please contact us if you need any other assistance. Thank you! Sincerely, Director of Marketing & Communications
